Strawberry season here lasts from December to about April. So today, after work, I headed to the you-pick place to get some very fresh berries. I should have brought strawberry-picking clothes. It's surprisingly difficult to navigate a strawberry patch in heels and stockings.
When we eat crepes tomorrow for dinner (to belatedly celebrate pancake day), you can bet that a great number will contain Nutella and these berries.

Our strawberry plants are still 'resting' - hopefully we will be eating strawberries in June and July.
Enjoy your pancakes!
oh man - I do miss U pick places. There is luckily one apple farm here that does it and we go every year.
Those look so much better than the ones we can get at the store. But we still seem to be getting them most of the year for a reasonable price. But those look really really good!
Strawberries are just not really happy here in the desert so no u-pic-em
Those are beautiful looking berries. I can't wait till June in Pittsburgh, when the berries come in!
wow...let me pause to wipe the drool from my chin...those berries look so good! i'm hoping that i won't be too huge and grouchy by strawberry season to get some good picking in this year. we are already eating our last jar of strawberry jelly from last year!
