Return to El Campello

I need to do some blog catch up, so here 's post from last month. Every year, my aunt and uncle visit El Campello, a town near Alicante on the southeastern coast of Spain. Once again, I've apparently been nice enough to them that they are willing to invite me to visit :) It was a more somber time than usual, as my aunt is my father's older sister, and we had lots to talk about with respect to his accident and death.

For me, it was a very good visit, full of both processing, reminiscences, and just time with two people who I dearly love.

A Neptune ball, aka a clump of Neptune grass, an important plant in the Mediterranean. These littered the shore, and I really wanted to take one home- they reminded me of an inert Tribble.

I would never want to live on the Mediterranean; it is too temperate for me. But I still get a thrill when I say I'm visiting it, because the name just sounds exotic.

My uncle is a great cook and we ate as many delicious meals as we could cram into one long weekend.
